So let me let you in on a little secret about Sister Coleman, my favorite thing about my job is the students. I miss you guys something terrible and have spent the last week pondering, praying, and thinking about what more I could do for you given our new current circumstances. As I continued to think about this over the week and spent time pondering like Enos I was reminded that I already had a format where I can share with you each week or each day.
This blog has been used for quotes or other cool facts so you could copy and paste things into gospel library as a class. However, with current "quarantine" I am going to change the format of this blog. You are invited every day through the week, Monday through Friday, to come here and see some of Sister Coleman's thoughts, videos, or cool things she found in her study. As always no pressure to use this resource I just thought it might help us all feel a little less alone and isolated. So, today we will start with Enos.
Enos had something he desired greatly, forgiveness of his sins, which is something I think all of us desire but as I studied his words yesterday I realized right now many of us probably have some other intense desires. It may be comfort that you senior year of high school is ending like this, it may be
grief over a lost sports season, missed opportunities, worry over the future, or anxiety that you are trapped at home. All of these are very real to many of us right now and legitimate reasons for worry. We though can find answers and peace to these desires just like Enos did.

Enos followed that same pattern we have talked about so many times in class this year. He acted in faith (prayed), sought divinely appointed sources (the words and teachings of a prophet, his father, Jacob), and maintained/sought an eternal perspective (he knew when he heard the voice of the Lord that the Lord couldn't lie and he trusted a prophet).
Sister Coleman has been striving to do this as well with my worries, questions, and although I am waiting for some answers still I did get the impression that I needed to keep this blog rolling as a place for my students to come and know that I love them, still think about them and how I can best help them as they study at home.
PS And don't forget the Zoom meetings this week on Friday, this is a great opportunity to meet with a teacher and group of students to talk about life, questions, and what you are learning in your home study. Come whatever time works best for you!
PSS And we all love a classic seminary video and I love this one that relates to Enos and his struggle put in modern times, or more modern times, 1995. The Kurt Bestor is slightly catchy too. Enjoy!
